Depending on the type of liposuction surgery and the area of treatment its procedure varies slightly. However all the procedure follows the same action as followed
1. Anesthesia
Anesthesia means 'without pain'. The doctor with numb the part of the body which is going to be treated. General anesthesia will put you to sleep and you will be completely unconscious during the surgery.
2. Creating the Incisions
The next step is to make tiny incisions in the area of the body from where the fat is to be sucked out. The incisions are very small (few millimeters).
3. Fat Removal
The fat is sucked out by a vacuum tube called cannula. The cannula will be inserted deeper into the fat layer through the incisions. The fat cells are then broken by moving the cannula back and forth using an attached syringe or vacuum pump which sucks out the fat.
4. Closing the Incisions
The incisions can either be closed with few stitches or left upon depending upon physician’s choice.
